Walk through

Yesterday we had our walk through.  There are only about seven items on the list for rectification, and none that will stop us moving in if they're not completed within the next week.

Excitingly, today is the second last Tuesday that we'll spend in the rental!

Sadly, I don't have any photos to share, as nothing has changed on site.

However, I have to say, whilst standing in the bathrooms and laundry, I couldn't help but wonder whether it gets any better than a gorgeous, clean, streak-free gloss white tile.  I know, I have issues!

The rest of the week will be crazy around here, so I'll sign off until at least Sunday.  Have a great week, everyone!

  1. All the best with your move. I look forward to your next batch of photos. And, no I don't think you have issues to wish for your bathroom remains clean.

  2. So excited for you M! That's terrific that there were only 7 defects - I just hope ours goes up as quick and well as yours has! Now for the concept boards to come to life, can't wait to see it all finished.

    1. Thanks, Em! Not sure that everything on the boards will happen straight away, but you'll see the real deal here as soon as the rooms are photo-worthy. M x

    1. We're ridiculously excited, Mel! There's a business idea - self-cleaning tiles. Hmmm! Good luck with your build picking up some speed over the next couple of weeks. Mx

    1. Thanks, Nat! I'm full of stress, but so far it is good stress. I can't wait to deliver some bits and pieces after work on Tuesday and then do some painting on Wednesday. M x

  6. Hey Madonna, I just found your blog! Did you not just build a few years ago? You guys are such seasoned professionals. We can't even commit to moving out of a rental and buying a place. The place looks great. I really can't wait to see how you decorate it - do the kids get input into their rooms? Take care xx

    1. Hi Brooke and welcome! We moved into the last house in late 2009, we just love building. This will be the second last for quite some time though - those high school fees are looming!! The kids have had a fair bit of input into their rooms, but I get the final say. Hopefully I pull all the ideas together well and there'll be photos to share soon. M x
