Soooofa!

So, a friend came over today, and I introduced her to the new sofa.  'When did this arrive?' she asked.  'I haven't seen it on the blog!'

I laughed my little heart out!  It had arrived the weekend before, and in all the hoo-hah surrounding looking for a new car and electrical plans etc etc etc, I had forgotten all about it.

Dodgy iPhone pics, sorry.  I'm usually a better photographer than that!

As you can see, this sofa is veeeerry versatile and quite massive.  All five of us can LIE DOWN on it at the same time - love! The options are endless - double love!  I can't wait to get it into the new house and play around with it.

Now I just need to find some cushions to make it look more pretty.  The brown ones that came with it are dinky and dodgy, and must go!!!!

While I'm here, welcome to our newest follower.  We've hit the big 5-0, how very exciting!!  We hope you enjoy hanging out here, Melinda - the best is yet to come!

  1. Hi,

Loving your blog. I was very excited to see you are building a modified Marcoola. We built the Marcoola last year and are totally in love with it. Another fabulous coincidence was your interior paint selection. We also used White Duck throughout! Gorgeous!! Really looking forward to watching your progress and picking up some decorator tips from you.

    1. Welcome, Raychel! I would love to see photos of your White Duck if you have any to share. I'm a big fan of Taubmans colours, so really struggled to find a Dulux colour that I wanted throughout the house. I'm glad to hear that you love it! Whilst our house is VEERRRYYY modified, I think it still has the same open feel through the main living space as the original Marcoola, which is what we fell in love with in the first place! Thanks for commenting! M x

    1. Hahaha, I honestly thought I'd turned word verification off. Now I feel bad that I've been making you all fill it in!!! Thanks for the sofa comment, too, B. I so wish you had a Domayne in Adelaide. I reckon you'd find exactly what you want for your house as soon as you walked in the door! M xxo

  6. Congrats on the big 5-0! Love the new sofa and look forward to seeing it 'dressed' properly! I've received my new sofa too (and now have the legs!LOL) but have had to re-wrapped it to keep it clean. :-(

    1. Thanks, KL. Love your sofa, too. At least you had the sense to wrap yours back up! Husband put ours straight into action, so I'm a bit sad that it won't be as special when we move in. Having said that, it is sooooo comfortable, I could sleep for a week on it. Love it! M xx
