Photo update

So, as promised here are some roof shots, as well as photographic evidence of yesterday's action!

Woodland Grey Roof, Fascia and Gutter

Loving this front door!

Ensuite bath

Master Bedroom.  Have I mentioned it's kinda small?  That's why we have this door arrangement, which will lead to a private deck.  I can't wait to see this area evolve.

Main bath.  That is one big window!  Blinds will definitely have to be down when the kiddies are in there.

The view from the top of the entry hall down to the front door.  This hall is wide and lovely and I can't wait to decorate it.

So, there we are.  I'm meeting the electrician tomorrow, so of course there is a last minute rush to revise the electrical plan, even though I drew it up back in November!!

  1. looking good.
I am looking forward to seeing my home this way.
I have spoken to the builder and the water proofing is a BIG DEAL. they just cant do it until it drys up. It is that simple. Unfortunately we choose to build a split level home and this is what happens.

    1. Thanks, Anna! When I say 'private', I mean as private as it can be with three children. They already love running out our bedroom door around to the garage door. They're crazy!!!

    1. Things are moving along at a cracking pace, Rose. But, me being me, still not fast enough, hahaha! Original plan was practical completion late April, but haven't received a revised estimate since The Great Rains of 2012. Fingers crossed we'll be in by mid-May before you know who disappears for another chunk of the year!

  4. Fantastic front door - what a statement piece! We've put a temporary door as I didn't like the builder's options (more to the point - prices!). So your door is great inspiration. Love wide entrance halls too - so glad they're back in standard build designs :)

    1. Thanks, Nat. Husband told me the hall was a waste of space (in a nice way, of course) yesterday, and I was so sad! I love, love, love it! I actually noticed a house the other day had it's front door replaced with a whopper (the house is about 18 months old), so they must have had the same plan as you!!

  5. This brings back so many memories from last year when we were building. Feels like it was sooo long ago since we moved in, only four months though.

    1. Isn't funny how 'the house' becomes 'home' so quickly, Anette!

    1. Thanks very much, Mel! I was telling a friend yesterday not to hold her breath on the private deck - I'm secretly wishing it could take priority over the front landscaping, but sadly it can't.
