Getting there...

Slowly, but surely, life is getting back to normal around here.  I think I am pretty much fully recovered now, but have a dose of the 'doing too much, too soons', so am a little bit sore.  Thank you so much for all the well wishes!  Your comments were great pick-me-ups when I really needed them.

Of course, just about every room in the house is nearly done, so there are no awesome reveals to show, but here is a sneak peak of a few bits and pieces for you.

No photos in the bottom row yet.  Also need something for the top of the buffet.
I love this spot, though - we'll get there!
Little Girl's Book Corner.  She also uses this spot for rocking out to her favourite song - 'Usher! Usher!'

Have a lovely week, everyone!

Plaster Master

Well, what a week it has been!

The brickies have been on site since Monday morning and the plasterers since Tuesday morning.  I am absolutely in love with the house right now!!!

The bricks in view will be rendered, hence their dodginess.  The fancy bricks for the front pillars haven't arrived yet.  They are amazeballs!

We've never had high ceilings before, and, let me tell you, we'll never go back to standard ceilings.

View from top of entry hall to front door.  Quite possibly my favourite part of the house.
Family/Meals/Kitchen.  I've decided to adopt the title 'Great Room'.  Much quicker and easier to say!

View of the Great Room from the Playroom end.
Meals space niche.  It is huge, and awesome.  We are planning on fitting this out with a custom piece of mirror.  I don't even want to think about the dollars involved here...

Niche from another angle.  It actually has quite a deep shelf, too.

Ensuite - it is looking massive, and the bath is soooo deep!  If I had my way, I'd never leave the Master Suite!

Master Bedroom
It rained today, so I suppose that hamstrung the brickies a bit.  Hopefully they'll be able to make a dent in the job tomorrow.
